The Art of Poison-Pilling Music files

This just popped up in my feed. I’ve not watched it all yet, but I’ve never seen a bad or poorly researched video from Benn, and this looks quite exiting (strong language warning).

An interesting watch Keith,

Hey, no fair!
This is going to slow down the flow of money from those who must hold down 3 jobs to those who already have squeezed them so hard.

I love this concept. Now if it can just be accomplished with less effort.
Idea: as part of the penalty for stealing others’ work, the perpetrators must fund this service…

That was agood watch Kieth kept me busy for an hour Cheers HEC

Watched it as well and filled in a bit of time but must confess some of it I just didn’t understand.

I do agree but having had a year recovering I reading and disliking to be honest, I do understand a little bit but like I say I am not a fan AI cheers

In a nutshell, AI isn’t actually intelligent. It’s very good at copying patterns, and working out how to fit these together to create a blend of the different things it’s copying, it it’s pretty dumb how it does it.

And, as a consequence a lot of AI is only as good as it is because of human intervention to “tune” how it copies and blends things.

Benn and some of his associates have worked out how to sabotage AI by changing the audio files for music so that the song sounds different to the AI than it does to humans.

This means you can encode music tracks so that they cannot be used for training AI, at least not with current AI training algorithms.

Cheers,

Keith

And not only music files, but blocking phones trying to record audio, muting “smart” things etc…
I’m liking this very much. Giving the “tech bros” the middel finger…
