If you never pushed them you would never know they existed
One thing I would say to you Brian that although it was in your house you didn’t look out of place mate, you looked like a long time member of the band. Now if only I could get Roger Daltry, Paul McCartney, Paul Weller or Noel Gallagher to come to my casa.
Cheers, James
The ‘nerves’ factor didn’t kick in at all compared to the excitement.
The fact that I had spent so much time with them beforehand and everyone in the audience were friends made it very unintimidating.
(Remember, it’s easier to shoot for the stars than distant galaxies )
I see Johnny shared our encore performance on his fb page this morning
The Scottish bard Momus was right:
“In the future, everyone will be famous for fifteen people!”
This passed right by me.
But WOW!!! I am speachless, what an awsome cool experience!
I have to watch those vids once more a bit later today. But it lookes superb!
I guess you will start touring now?
That’s about it in a nutshell.
I can hang up my six-string now
I believe my contract stipulates I have to complete a ‘Borders Tour’ with @sairfingers first
Finally, at the risk of ‘jumping the shark’-
I cobbled together all the various audio-visual recordings of the ‘encore’
(not great sound quality and some synchro difficulties, but a nice souvenir )
Well, what a thing.
What a thing indeed.
Luckily you don’t live in a 2-up 2-down shoebox or you’d have been famous for just three people!
Wonderful times Brian.
Happy Paddy’s for yesterday too.
Wow Brian, what an experience, that must have been such a fun weekend! You are now officially a performer/impresario! The videos were great fun to watch so I can only imagine how much fun the real thing must have been.
Clearly a weekend tour with me couldn’t hold a candle to all of this. (although I would promise to wash my own jocks). I’m sure I can find a get-out clause for you in the contract.
Cheers, Richard, and this would never have happened without your guidance
I don’t know, Gordon. One of the most enjoyable aspects was just how down to earth and unpretentious they were. Pretty sure you’d hold up pretty well
I heard those things were optional extras, and if you’re lucky, female punters lob them at you
Wow Brian,
Quite a story you got going. I took in a bit of the many offerings here. Seemed like a rocking good time for all! You hung with the best mate! Good job!
I do hope you offered them a room in the Inn?
Keep up the vibe,
LB
I’d be happy to hang up my guitar in retirement now… if I wasn’t having such danged fun
As I mentioned in the top post- an extra day’s free board ‘n’ vittles and threw in a free medical consultation, incl. minor surgery.
They’ll be back
