By “Common Chords”, is that referring to everything in the row to the right of “D Dorian” in the Scale Equation section at the top? Thank you!

Hello @jpanico7 and welcome to the Community. I’m trying to go back to old questions not yet answered, sorry that you have waited for an answer.
In the lesson notes we see:

That means the tonic chord options, the chords built from the root note of the key, are some type of minor chord as shown here. There can be other chords in Dorian music, including major type chords. But the tonic is minor.
