This is the first video recording I dare to share publicly!
I’m a complete newbie in regards to recording and this was an experimental raw recording - I don’t know anything about audio editing/processing, so any feedback about recording methods and any other feedback will be much appreciated! (:
Your recording is quite good and clean. There are all sorts of advanced tricks to make your guitar sound even better - like using multiple mics. But your audio is more than good enough.
What’s to say? Everything sounds good!
Sound in itself is great, playing is great, recording is great too.
First time out? I can’t wait for the second…
That setup worked really well for recording the acoustic, it sounded great. Nice little blues piece as well.
If you’re interested in learning more about home recording, there’s a section of the community for discussing hardware/software and recording. There are lots of discussions there that could serve as a jumping off point. I warn you, though… it can be addictive!
Sounded great to me. You played an enjoyable tune with lean, crisp lines. Maybe audio engineering pros would try to wash out the squeaks in the early part of the recording as your fingers slid across the strings. I do know there are players out there who try techniques to reduce squeaking as fingers slide across the strings. One of the downsides of playing with metal strings, I guess. Frankly, I couldn’t play that tune as well as you did anyway. Keep up the good work!
