Still have the Gibson?
Unfortunately no. I kept it for over 35 years and then my oldest daughters boyfriend could play so I gave it to him. He turned out to be a bum so it was a waste. So move on. I play an OM that my cousin made. He builds guitars in
Oklahoma City. It is Claro walnut body and sides and Adirondack spruce on the top. Really is pretty and sounds soooo good. I recently bought a Martin D-28 and my cousin is making me a Koa wood guitar. Now if I can just get good enough to do justice to these beautiful instruments.
The instruments will inspire you to play and there is nothing wrong with enjoying the art of a fine guitar.
Too bad about the Gibson, water under the bridge.
I have always craved a walnut guitar! I like the tone, and the idea as it is a more sustainable wood. Maybe someday.
Very cool your cousin built you a guitar! That alone makes it special, more so if he is good at it. We have a local luthier here who makes interesting and unique guitars. I want to get one, but hesitate to invest, especially with a few political uncertainties in the not too distant future. Not to mention that I donāt need another guitarā¦
No pressure here,
BUTā¦
If you donāt share pics, those guitars donāt existā¦
just sayināā¦
Tod
PS - Donāt want to hijack Ericās thread here so maybe in a new threadā¦ PICS!!!
