Are there any pop/rock song references for Major 3rd that anyone knows of? I’m unfamiliar with those mentioned in the lesson notes. I googled but didn’t find any that I’d heard before.

Main riff from Black Dog by Led Zeppelin starts with Major third for a split second I believe.

Thanks adi_mrok. I’ll give it a listen.

Number of The Beast by Iron Maiden. The Riff and vocal goes Root, Major 3rd, 4th and 5th.
So “I left alone, My mind was blank” the words “left” and “mind” both fall on that Major 3rd.
Hope tthat helps

Thanks Dave. Not into Iron Maiden but I’ll give it a listen.
