This was great, another soon to be a classic by Clint! Well done and thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the listen and comment! You are super kind. ![]()
I love your understated class Clint.
Thank you, and good to hear from you! Understated is going to be the way forward for me when it comes to vocals. ![]()
Loved it, thanks for sharing that!
Nice song, it really sounds great! I love the intro image on your video. Sets the mood perfectly.
I much prefer this version Clint, raw, real and authentic.
Thanks for the listen and comment. Much appreciated.
Thanks for the nice comment!
Glad you like it! I like having a raw and stripped down version as well as an AI produced version. Both versions have their place.
Smooth, easy listening, Clint. A bit sad but with hope at the end. Both versions were done well.
Hi Pam, so good to hear from you and hope you are doing well!
I will leave someone else to write a happy little song about everything going to poo. That song isn’t in me right now. LOL
Thanks for the listen and comment. ![]()
Clint
I really enjoyed this performance and love the song. Good accompaniment and thought provoking lyric: echoes of Cohen, Waits, REM and, especially to my ear, ‘Bonnie Prince Billy’. A wonderfully effective piece.
Brian
Thanks Brian!
High praise, glad that it struck a chord with you. Much appreciated. ![]()
That’s very beautiful Clint and I’m really glad you didn’t stop at the AI version and recorded your own interpretation of your song to share with us. Only one favour I have to ask, next time you record please show the right hand because it would be helpful to me to observe it as I’m unable to strum just half as gently as you do.
I might need to clarify this a bit. When I write songs I flesh out lyrics and basic chord movement anywhere from fully formed to fairly rudimentary (can even be something that I hum). Consider my AI tracks as AI productions of my songs, like demos. Note that I’m just getting started with AI.
I am also sussing out multiple songs at once and writing a bunch of lyrics (with a ton of half-written ideas). There are no straight lines or cookie cutter ways to finish a song.
I don’t put much fore thought into my couch recordings. There are a ton of thumb strum tracks on my Youtube channel. I may just record audio moving forward.
Thankful for the listen, comment and kind words as always!
