The Warning — Money

Hi everyone!
I finally recorded something, and today it’s an awesome song by an awesome band: The Warning.
There are plenty of their fans here in the Community, but no covers so far. Now it’s changed.
As for a song, it’s not a difficult one to play, just very fun. I didn’t play it perfectly, though, there are some noticeable flaws, but I didn’t want to make any more takes.
The video is quite poorly done, but it’s the best I can do without spending way more time learning editing than I want now. The main issue is the audio went out of sync with the video closer to the end for some reason. Will try to do it better next time, this one is done.

I agree with @roger_holland . There is such a really good vibe about your video. Like sunshine on this so grey autumn day.

Ooh… And the SG and heavier sounds do go well together :sunglasses:

Thanks everyone for tuning in and such nice comments.

No, it’s not. I’d like it to be, but it took me quite a while to get here. And as Bon Scott sang, it’s a long way to the top if you wanna rock’n’roll.

Thanks, Jeff! I wanted to fill the pause with something (because it’s easier to keep the rhythm going, just don’t tell anyone) and thought that it’d fit nicely. Turned out that not every pick is good for scraping, gotta take that into account too. But in the end, they turned out really good. On the recording it sound much better than I expected.

It’s an ultimate rock machine, after all. :metal: Maybe you should get one as well?

That’s the best thing you could’ve said, Rogier, appreciate it a lot. Isn’t it the reason we all play music?

Awesome job. I think we’re our own worse critics. I know I am. You did great!

Thanks. I think I have a few more songs to record and post, so hopefully, this time, the gap between my AVOYPs won’t be that big.
But I can’t agree on the production. Doesn’t look good. Though a few lessons were learned, so next time I’ll try to improve a thing or two.

Glad you liked it.

I mean, how else are you going to improve? There’s always something new to learn. And I’m far from playing like, let’s say, Paul Gilbert, even though he so often acknowledges not knowing something.

Just awesome.

Awesome job Artem! Very enjoyable! :fire: Love the guitar tone :guitar:

I love The Warning and Money is my favorite song of theirs, so I’m happy to see your cover! I have messed with this song on and off, but never really took the time to learn it all the way through. Your cover is inspiring me to pick it up again!

I’m also tagging @DarrellW since he’s a huge Warning fan :guitar:

Called “The Warning” from the Spark App cloud.

It’s such a fun song to play and also quite a simple one. So now I’m waiting for your whole band cover.

Great performance, Artem!
Liked the vibe you gave the whole song, you seem to be so confident and relaxed with what you are doing.
Pretty steep learning curve. Wow! Congrats!
Liked the pick scrapes (thanks Jeff @nzmetal! Didn’t know the term) a lot! Very cool!
Looking forward to see more cool stuff!

Sounded great Artemi! I’m not terribly familiar with the song, so any noticeable flaws you mentioned were not at all noticeable to me!

I think to get the preview working, you just post the link to the video on a line all on its own. I could be wrong as I am still fairly new, but that’s what it seemed like to me on the couple things I’ve posted.

Yes, I know. But for this video it’s not working for some unknown reason.
It looks like that and I have no idea why.

UPD: Strange, now it just worked. Weird, but whatever.

Outstanding performance, Artem. On a few levels.
