Hey Jay!
Nice job… very pleasant vibe! I enjoyed this one a lot!!!
!
My only critique… what happened to the girl?
Why is Levi alone?

I’m really curious!

Hi Tod. I thought it was better to leave the missing wife a mystery than to fill in the blank. We don’t know if she died or left him. The information in this song is so brief, it’s almost like a painting rather than a story, which fits my experience. Levi is a real person that I painted houses with decades ago, and I knew very little about him, so much of this is made up. But it is easy for me to imagine Levi sitting alone watching Wheel of Fortune.

Btw, Katie Stone is my sister in law down in Albuquerque. You may have heard her. She produces the Children’s Hour and is on NPR on Sunday mornings.

I have heard of your sister-in-law!
A neighbor was recently talking about their grandchildren & mentioned Katie Stone… I didn’t realize exactly what she does until I Googled her just now! Cool!
Where are you from, Jay?

Beautiful song, well played and well sung. Thanks for sharing!

I’m from Seattle. Katie has become quite the celebrity down there. And her husband, Andrew Stone is a bit of a pioneer in promoting use of renewable energy in cities like Albuquerque.
