Time in a Bottle - Jim Croce Instrumental Duo with Me and Myself

Thanks, I’ve been to some shutup&play videos in the past. He does a good job. I’ll start here.
Thanks again. I also need to try LogicPro. Seems you can do a lot with it.

Which one of the two guitar parts should be played (if either) if played alone?
Thanks much for your help.

You were both great! It’s been so long since I learned that song I’ve completely forgotten how to play it.

That’s where I learned it as well, although I never bothered with Maury’s part. I’d have to say Andy was who got me started in playing guitar and sticking with it, by learning some of my favorite melodies (including this one), and getting hooked.

@MiJoy

I think that’s really up for interpretation, I’ve seen some covers on YouTube that do a blend of the two but for the most part people seem to focus on Jim’s part due to him being the artist name.

If you do end up splitting it in logic pro, all I did was use the stem splitter to separate out the vocals and then take the stereo isolated guitar track and duplicate it. Then in Logic pro you can take each guitar track and change the “input” from stereo to a single channel (left or right) and all you’ll hear is each individual guitar.

@wiredforsound thanks! I plan to keep this one in the repertoire I think but only time will tell

Hey, Ryan! You did great on this song! I especially loved it because songs like this and other 70’s hits are some of my favorite songs. I wonder if I gravitate toward these type of songs because I was in my teens and 20’s in the 70’s and 80’s and just starting to become really interested in music around that time. Anyway, beautiful show. You and your “twin” were fantastic.

Thank you!! @pkboo3 , that may be partially true but I do believe a lot of older tunes have a ton of magical harmony that’s lacking in a lot of modern stuff. That’s not to say it can’t be found - it’s just not quite as popular.

Wow - great version - I can imagine the effort to learn to fingerpicking version and to fully ‘synchronise‘ them and play without mistakes! it came out extremly beautiful - bravo!
