That was really beautiful guys! Congrats to both of you @CD02 and @AlyKat

Craig, you are a natural. If you have stories that come to you like that and you are able to put them into into a musical format, I think you can call yourself a songwriter now :wink:

Hey All.

Thanks to everyone that dropped by to listen, really appreciate everyone taking the time to have a listen and to comment too (I won’t tag you all in).

It was very enjoyable, and although the original idea is mine AlyKat really helped bring it to life, thanks again Allison. I have to say that the final result is and feeling is pretty much exactly what I was after so :ok_hand:

@Boris1565 that’s quite funny actually. When I sat down with the lyrics and guitar in hand I knew how I wanted it to sound and came up with what you hear now however it was only after we had finished the project that I was made aware of exactly that :scream: I know the song, and never at any point put 2 and 2 together :laughing:

@brianlarsen Thanks Mate, appreciate that.

Fixed :+1:

Yes, completely agree, and it pained me not to put something together but I find when I am juggling recording video while playing it changes the way I perform in general, the playing and singing are worse because I’m juggling turning cameras on and off etc and I didn’t want a poor video to distract from the sound we were putting together.
I still have a clear picture of what I would want as a video/stills for this but need the right images :thinking: maybe I’ll add it later if I can do it.

And you Allison, thanks again truly a pleasure and learnt along the way :+1:

Yes, I asked myself where it would fit :thinking: Wasn’t sure.

:rofl: Jen, Thanks Jen, it was a weird moment, it was a story that just fell out. Definitely could’t have done it justice without the help I had though.

Well done @CD02 and @AlyKat.

I got a bit of a 60’s era vibe from the song. And a Lorax feeling from the lyrics. A polished recording.

Well, in an effort to ensure that the disappointment of Mr @brianlarsen didn’t go unrectified I have now added a video hastily put together as my first full sound/video production in Resolve :rofl:

That was one slick production. Thoughtful moving lyrics and well delivered. Instrumentation was spot on to boot. You both should be extremely proud of this project ! Chapeau :+1:

Thanks Toby, honestly a lot is down to the information and help that we get from this forum so it’s a credit to the community, and a few resolve Youtubes :joy:

Much more to my liking- and you’ve doubled my listens to the song! :rofl:
Take another bow :clap:
(was that your ultralight footage?)

Hi Craig and Allison @AlyKat

That was great, absolutely a great achievement :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: :clap: :man_bowing:, and I had to register at the first link posted and I didn’t feel like it (never had to before???),
but I’m super happy that you made a video of it…double applause for that,

I am the one who bows to you now, but actually you should do that ( also a small hint for you to see on the video sometime :grin:)

Greetings :bouquet:

That’s how I get my views up :rofl::rofl:

Yes, I had to hunt through it to find something I could use in a video :roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

Thanks @roger_holland :rofl::rofl: love your comments :joy::+1:

I loved the timing when the video faded to black along with the lyrics “all went black”. That was cool.

This song was beautiful. The melody, the emotion, the lyrics, the style of the song; they all went together perfectly.

You both have great tones and you harmonized beautifully.

Incredible! :star_struck:
