Back in the saddle recording original and some cover songs.
This one is the last of our grungy type tracks - at least for a little while.
I think it’s a pretty obvious what it’s about.
One of my personal faves we’ve done.
Gather up the storm
Set the thorns in the land
The future fades fast
And I wait now now
Situations born
From the minds of the damned
The devils broke the pause
And we are sin so
Take two steps like thunder
Bring it all down
Fire is a nation
We got
Hands on the throttle now
Take two steps and
Can’t turn around
Hatred got the numbers
And I wait
We’re not getting out
Prison is the dawn
Hold the keys in your hand
The day is like a bomb
And I wait now now
Situations borne
By the backs of the damned
Said you got the cause
Though we are kin so
I wait
See it all one way
Sealed fate
Future holds nothing
I wait
Tombstone army
I don’t buy your story
Show me
I wait
See it all one way
Sealed fate
Future holds nothing
I wait
Tombstone army
I don’t buy your story
Let me out
This course you are walking
There’s no talking you down
See they are marching
We’ve got nowhere
We got nothing
No more
Took two steps and
Can’t turn around
Hatred had the numbers
We have nothing
They have nothing
No more time
This has got to be one of your best Digger. Great big dirty guitar driving menacingly forward and at a pace this old man can still head bang ! Impressive lyrics and exquisitely delivered. The mixed vocals and harmonies in the bridge section is Katja at her best and superbly mixed. Loved those harmonic pinches !!
Do not stop the grunge. Do not stop the grunge. Do not stop the grunge. Do not stop the grunge. Do not stop the grunge. Do not stop the grunge. Do not stop the grunge.
Hi,
Nice guitar work and tones in this one. I agree with Toby, nice work, maybe one of your best from the dark side! I am not sure, but in spots Katja may need a slight bump up?
I am listening as I type and them grinding guitars are pretty impressive mate!
Maybe as I listen it came to me that Katja might have been a bit low at the start as an effect? Great mix though. You sure have some chops there!
Great work and keep on with the show!
Be well and take care,
LB

Yes, Digger, this song is one of my favorites, too.
Everything is done very stylishly in your best traditions.
This is an exquisite diamond in your collection of music.

I’ve had this idea of somehow trying to record “Dark Glam” music. Not sure if it’s really a genre.
Somehow mix say Depeche Mode/Joy Division with T-rex/Slade.
Could be awful - but you don’t know till you try.
Grunge/rock will always be there in the mix though.
