Traditional Strat with better Upper Fret Access

Not sure if you’re seated in that photo Peter? I can reach them much better seated, but I prefer to play standing up (weird I know!)

Now you’re asking me to multi-task. Hold a guitar, take a pic and stand up haha. Anyway here’s a Les Paul. Harder but not impossible. (This time stood up):

Edit: PS: a little tip. You can just see my guitar stand in this pic. It has masking tape on it. That is because a Gibson Les Paul and some Strats have a Nitro Cellulose finish that can react with the rubber. I’ve learnt this from music shops where they’ve had Custom Shop guitars damaged that way and hat to sell them off cheap. Unfortunately even then I couldn’t afford Custom Shop.

Yep OK I’m convinced, maybe it’s just me!

Interesting. My entire guitar collection (i.e. both of them!) has poly finish, so I can use them for breaking concrete paving slabs etc!

You could always consider a refinish if you could ever get the poly off:

There are a few Peter Green songs where he plays those strings around the 12/14th frets, ā€œThe Stumbleā€ comes to mind, but there’s nothing you can’t play on the thinner strings…
