Traditional Strat with better Upper Fret Access

Not sure if youā€™re seated in that photo Peter? I can reach them much better seated, but I prefer to play standing up (weird I know!)

Now youā€™re asking me to multi-task. Hold a guitar, take a pic and stand up haha. Anyway hereā€™s a Les Paul. Harder but not impossible. (This time stood up):

Edit: PS: a little tip. You can just see my guitar stand in this pic. It has masking tape on it. That is because a Gibson Les Paul and some Strats have a Nitro Cellulose finish that can react with the rubber. Iā€™ve learnt this from music shops where theyā€™ve had Custom Shop guitars damaged that way and hat to sell them off cheap. Unfortunately even then I couldnā€™t afford Custom Shop.

Yep OK Iā€™m convinced, maybe itā€™s just me!

Interesting. My entire guitar collection (i.e. both of them!) has poly finish, so I can use them for breaking concrete paving slabs etc!

You could always consider a refinish if you could ever get the poly off:

There are a few Peter Green songs where he plays those strings around the 12/14th frets, ā€œThe Stumbleā€ comes to mind, but thereā€™s nothing you canā€™t play on the thinner stringsā€¦
