Traveler~~August 2025: Just Like Jesse James—Cher, Someone—Aaron Lewis

Hello all!

This is a tune that I have liked since my childhood. It was my mom’s favorite song, and consequently is my favorite Cher song.

It’s a mouthful to sing, but I think that I did pretty good with the guitar parts.

I messed up in a couple places, but feedback is always helpful!

Excellent performance: steady rhythm guitar and a fine vocal; very enjoyable. The balance of voice and guitar is good. Given how well the song suited your style, and continuing the Cher link, I think you’d do a good version of ‘Walking in Memphis’. Whatever you play next, I’m looking forward to hearing it.

Thanks a lot for your feedback Brian!

I need to iron out a few spots but I like the initial product!

I will give a go to Walking in Memphis. I can’t NOT hear piano when I listen to that song so transcribing will be tricky.

Thanks again, and keep rocking :sign_of_the_horns:

Thank you @Willsie !! Cher is difficult to sing (especially if you are a bass male, lol), but I’ll take it!

I hope that your guitars are treating you well.

Super vocal on this one! Your strum was consistent: might benefit from some variation to the pattern and / or the dynamic. Your rendition of this song was very touching. Loved it!
