I just updated the app and found that a lot of the songs I had saved in my favorites are no longer in the app or I’m not finding them somehow can anyone please help me?

Hi, and welcome to the forum! Every now and then, they have to remove a number of songs from the app because of licensing issues, unfortunately. So that’s probably what happened in your case.

I have no idea whether I will help you with this or whether you have already looked at the website, but quite a lot of the deleted songs from what I have read (which I had read for a while ago) can be found here on the website and that way you can learn those songs and often also play along during the intro or a playalong during class, I don’t use the app myself so I don’t know your dissatisfaction, but it probably takes a little more effort but it is certainly worth a look.

It’s almost certainly what Els said. Same thing happened back when I was using the app a few years ago. One of the license holders didn’t want to renew so a whole load of songs had to be removed, including some of my favourites.
It’s annoying, but there are alternatives. As Roger said, you could check to see if Justin has lessons on the songs you’re looking for. Alternatively, there are a number of websites that function very similarly to the play-along part of the app, some paid, others for free.

I hope you are enjoying both the lessons and the play-along feature.
It’s a real shame that some favourites have gone. I know that over time, songs are added or, unfortunately, removed. Some or most of the latter is due to agreements with publishers and rights holders ending or being withdrawn.
