Hi
I’m posting a second attempt at my original song (Pretty Blue Strap) - having paid attention to feedback from before; trying to get a smooth chord change and don’t think I’ve quite pulled that off - still work in progress… different guitar this time.
Any feedback/ glaring errors and what have you greatly appreciated. Onwards and upwards.
I love it. You are good with you finger style. And I also enjoy your voice. Its very Hope Sandoval sounding.
Great job Viv
Thanks man
That was great Viv! You did a fine job of keeping the bass line with your thumb and vocals were very nice.
Bless you - thanks very much
Great again! Both are great! Here, the mic is so far from guitar and voice, so there’s very much room sound. The first áudio was a bit less reverby and vocals louder, but as far as I can tell, the playing is a bit better here.
But whatever I say… I like your song, playing and singing very much!
Ah thanks very much - yeah, I’m still working on the recording aspect…might post audio files for a bit until I’ve got the knack.
As enjoyable as your music is,you should think about buying an audio interface and a mic one day not too far in the future
I have both - still trying to teach myself how to use them. Can you recommend some good YouTube instructional videos?
Now I was quickly browsing your intro post and learning log to see if you posted about your gear / questions - but couldn’t find that topic yet. Well, as it’s not the right subject here, I’d suggest you open a new topic asking for advice or send me a private message and I’ll ask you all the questions that are necessary to advance the recording topic.
Because without further info it’s hard to recommend anything.
Ace Dom, ta - will do that over next few days.
Nice job again Viv. You certainly seemed a little more comfortable second time but in saying that both versions were really good. I am an acoustic guy though so am going to lean more towards that one
Lovely piece of work Viv, conveys a very mellow, slightly melancholy feeling, and conveying feelings are what it’s all about!
