I had a hard time finding a backing track for this one. After I did and got well started, of course I found backing tracks more to my liking. For now, this will have to do. I chose this song because I wanted something upbeat, and it’s been a great chance to practice some of the skills I’m learning in BLIM. I know I need to work on the tone and a few other things. I’m also a little frustrated that I lost my way with the timing once or twice. I am open to any helpful feedback from the community.
Thank you for watching! I always freeze up and get sweaty fingers when that red light goes on. You definitely need to post AVOYP soon and I look forward to seeing it!
Hi Donna, I’m happy to see you back (or maybe you’ve posted and I missed your posts?) Anyway…that sounded quite good you know!? And the vocals were just great!
Timing is like a little wild beast who refuses to be domesticated for me, with practice we can progress a lot though…and you did well overall and leave a good impression on the listener’ s ear
Great fun there Donna, you were clearly loving fitting in some of your Blim licks. You had the groove and created an enjoyable listen. I’d have liked some more of your vocal and as for your timing issues, that was a pretty difficult backing track to play along to.
Well done.
Thanks Silvia. I’m trying to be more involved in the community now. I never really left, but I do occasionally have to back off the guitar playing and spend more time with the activities and people who enable me to play.
Thanks for the good vibes, Gordon. Lol about vocals. I was afraid if I put too much of my singing in, no one would make it through to the guitar parts.
Good one Donna. A groovy, and somewhat tricky little track; and you slotted right in there. Good to see you didnt overplay with too many notes. Sounded much better that way.
For some reason this dropped off my radar and I had to go digging. Great little fun impro Donna, kept it simple and kept it ticking along ! What’s not to like, well done and thanks for sharing. Good to see BLIMers stepping outside the bubble.
