Yes and the more hours pass the more we find out that I was using my phone as a decent storage bank for more than I can record now… this weekend or just after I’ll start again with a clean slate, with cloud yes yes with cloud…

You are right, I’m surely not one of the most active contributors here
I guess I’m more of a listener and reader than a talker and frequent poster.
But I’m sneaking around here a lot and still love and enjoy this community as much as I did on the very first day.
And thanks to the continued kindness and motivation from all these great members here, I still enjoy playing and practising a lot
… haha, even though I’m still in Grade 3

You inspired me with your electric version of “Silent Night” and I decided to give it a go. Still a work in progress, but I wanted to pick up your invitation to contribute to this thread! December 16th, 2024 One of my good intents for 2024 was to post a few videos of my playing this year, but in the end I ended up with only two videos in March . I’m still no performer and this rough year took all my energy, so there was nothing left to invest into recording something. Then, our charming @roger_holland posted his new christmas thread We wish everyone a happy holiday season and I decided to give myself a kick in the … to do at least a recording of my humble…

How sweet to see you here and I was just visiting you while I was going through my notification from top to bottom…
Your words mean a lot and everything where you want to post/post is of course perfect…I sometimes say something subtly ( yes sometimes )and then hardly anyone picks up on it and some just don’t want it for various reasons…it’s all good…no pressure/choice stress…there’s already enough of that when we’re looking for our next guitar

and what strikes me is your modesty about your song …it is good…hear the few versions that can be heard here, yours is really a top one to listen to…

O which I forgot to tell you …those rolling chords are quite nice too

All the best and,that there are literally dark and silent nights, clear days and that the energy comes back

Thanks for the compliments on my Silent Night. Not really sure about “a top one” . But still a bit time for polishing and then the song will stay in my “lifetime repertoire”, so will probably get better over the years.
Thanks for the feedback for the rolling chords, good to read that the “rolling” is coming through,
I hope we spend lots of future christmas seasons together here in this community and are able to share our progress on this one when we are real old dogs !
