What about one day at a time , properly just one day , you and us and friends talking

I met this girl once, 36 years ago it was, we agreed to just take it one day at a time. Been married 35 years. Still taking it one day at a time. And now she is also putting up with a learner guitarist, one day at a time.

Always glad to see/read your posts Hec!

I too am grateful for all spaces where we can share our common humanity, and help each other grow/live/smile.

It is a precious place, indeed.

Salut!

It is Bruce, my office is next to my bedroom, and the first thing I do when I wake is come to this Community every single morning. I hate it if I miss a day, for example, I have been on earlier, but I have been in my garage all day, and I have just locked up, came upstairs and straight into the community, then on goes my guitars, every day possible it’s my life now, and cheers Bruce

Ha Ha Toby, them days are definitely over mate, if I hit one broon these days I wouldn’t see the community for a week, on the very odd occasion I will have one, and I really enjoy it. And maybe I’ll get away with this because it’ll be hard for some others to understand, but I remember years ago, my dad used to put a touch of Newkie on my ice cream and man, I loved it, wow, yeah, I can taste it Toby cheers

Today, if i’m allowed to rant a bit here, or to be more precise, yesterday evening, marked another downturn in usage of a thing i very much loved to use.
This here: https://www.metronomeonline.com/ a very usefull and above all, free metronome went behind a paywall.
Now i understand that there’s money that needs to be forked over just to host a site, and the coming of ai didn’t make things cheaper.
But i get payed only so much, once a month so i’m not able to support everything i want to use. If i did that, i’d be broke and have no money for groceries, rent, etc…
I’m getting really worried that the internet is becoming one giant paywall, which, in turn, will make itself obsolete.
I’m returning to physical stuff, more and more. That, or the high seas, if there’s no alternative instead of forking heaps of cash into something that’s already borked. (I’m looking at you Netflix, Streamz (local initiative that has the biggest collection of garbage ever made for tv), and other things)).

I have the Soundbrenner metronome app on my phone.
You can pay for extras if you want to but I’ve had the free version for about 4 years and it’s plenty good enough for my needs.

I followed the link you provided and used the metronome without payment? It appears free now.

True, you can use the metronome.

But have you tried changing the time signature? Or the sound effect? That takes you to a landingpage where they ask you to hand over data and choose a plan.

The features that i liked, are gone now.

No, simply tired it to see if it worked. Paywalls are something it appears we must live with.
Are you aware of Justins ā€˜Time Trainer’ app? It has a metronome and I have found it very useful in the time it has been used, which is around 6 years. For very small outlay.

I did not know that. Thank you for the tip.
But it doesn’t matter, my new physical metronome will be arriving very soon.
