What about one day at a time , properly just one day , you and us and friends talking

Hi Fiends, let’s just chill and talk

That’s what we do all day every day here.

I know Rick, but sometimes we forget and we should not my friends

Ibrahim, this is a beautiful community. I don’t mean forget people and friends, I do mean this great and brilliant community, it is one big family, and I hope it continues as long as Justin continues

Very true words, Hec  :sunflower:

Not true!
A community isn’t one big family. A community is made up of many many, smaller families who all have different interests and ideas.

A little history about Justin Guitar
Justin started his website in 2007 and the forum started about a year or 2 after that.
So people have been chillin’ and chattin’ for almost 2 decades.

Some stay for a long time some don’t and some pass away. So I don’t quit understand what the purpose of this thread is.

Sometimes you join a community and find great friends, such as I have, Rich, and it can be overwhelming at times. It is just me saying I am glad I found such a great place to be, that’s all, nothing more or nothing less, just a thank you to all who enjoy this community, hope you understand, cheers HEC

And most likely all the members of those smaller families have different interests and ideas :winking_face_with_tongue:

Must be something in the title that makes no sense to me.

What about one day at a time. Properly just one day. You and us and friends just talk.

What day? what about? You and us and friends? doesn’t “us” include everyone?

Explanation to all who read my post, I had a hospital appointment yesterday for a small procedure for my ongoing problem, and I was sedated. My wife has told me this morning that the first thing I wanted to do when I got home was sit in my office and chat on the community, along with trying to go to my garage and work on my guitar, but she refused to even open the garage door outright. I am so glad she just let me on the computer and not in the garage with my tools; it could have ended with me visiting the hospital again. I can imagine what I was trying to say, but I will leave it at that and apologise to all, thank you, HEC

No apologies needed Hec.
We know you’re just a softie at heart, and you’re having some difficulties, and you value the camaraderie and friendship of your forum friends.

I’ve been coming here for so long and I still love it. For me, this community is a giant layered cake.

There are people I’ve been working with for years, they bring me the fuzzy nostalgic feels.

There are the people who been here for almost as long, droppign in and out or being ever present, investing so much time to help others with their views and experiences.

There are the “becoming” players, not afraid to share their learning experiences, building upon their own foundations and willing to “pay it forward”

There are the fresher users, eager to get started, get on stage, get songs going and not afraid to ask.

Even though it evolves, I still find it astonishing how this has been a thriving Community for so long, such a safe space where people can ASK and SHARE, wheter it was ASKED or SPONTANUOUS.

That “safe space” is crucial and I find it very important.

Being able to be vulnerable somewhere is the biggest implicit compliment all of us can get for making it a safe space. I Am glad threads like this pop up once in a while. It’s a subtle tip to the hat to all of us :heart_decoration:

We all have our style, quirks and mannerisms but I like the diversity that spices this thing up like the embellisments I’m always trying to convince you to use

Get well soon Hec!

Hey Hec…
No worries about the title of this thread… I clicked on it just because it was confusing & I wanted to see what was going on!!!
So, your “Clickbait” got me!!! :winking_face_with_tongue:

My take on the Community is that it’s a good place where us Justinites (Justinians? Justiners? Justin Followers? Acolytes of the Nimble-Fingered One? - what best describes us anyway?) can chat about all kinds of things! Some subjects are more interesting than others , but everyone brings their own perspective & generally unique stories! Common experiences often involve nostalgic moments or create genuinely memorable times!

The best part IMHO, is the spirit of kindness & lending a ‘virtual’ hand displayed every day here! Thank you to everyone for keeping this a positive spot in an internet full of negativity!

Thanks, guys, I felt absolutely wonderful this time yesterday, my wife said it looked like I had 5 bottles of Newcastle broon ale. I went into my garage today, and my craft knife was on my workbench, ready to start carving my inlay in the headstock of my guitar god I am glad she got me away from that. I was just a Blabbering wreck, but at least I was just next to my bedroom, so it wasn’t hard for her to get me to bed, so I am cooking dinner tonight before my favourite artist is on with Justin. I will sit mouth closed and fingers away from the keyboard, thanks again, Guys :zipper_mouth_face: :prohibited: :keyboard:

And here was me thinking that that was what had happened

I really think that this community is a fantastic thing to participate in. When I discovered Justin guitar, I had no idea that would also mean I would get involved in such a great community with so many helpful and interesting people.

@DeltaTyne Well having been heavily sedated you started a nice thread and we all appreciate you in this forum. Actually last time I was sedated for a medical procedure when I woke up, I started speaking in German to the doctor which was quite bizarre because Lausanne is a French speaking place, speaking German here doesn’t usually go down well at all and my native language is English not German . Sometimes medication/drugs can make you do strange things.
