On auto-repeat at the moment: Sierra Ferrellâs âTrail of Flowersâ album, which also won Americana album of the year last month. The first track of the album âAmerican Dreamingâ is one of the love-at-first-listen songs that make me drop normal guitar practise until I have learned the song. Here is my favourite version:
Man she has such a good voice
Really enjoyed the recent Adam Buxton Podcast with John Cooper Clarke
It made me go back and listen to my favourite piece of poetry by him-
Beasley Street. The gold standard by which all pop lyrics should be judged
Just realized the farm aid video was live so no use posting it
These came up on my X feed. Have to say I think that they are really good!
Think that she has an album coming out shortly.
About 2 weeks ago I got struck with a nasty cold or whatever that takes forever to get rid of. It made me think of songs about illness and/or featuring doctors, such as these:
This is one of my favourite Genesis songs (got to love the twist in the last line) and favourite songs with the 12 string guitar. Maybe I should try to learn itâŚ
Workingmanâs Dead is one of my favourite records because of how the apparent sparseness of the music is matched with a lyrical richness. Black Peter is one of the top songs from that album to me.
He probably didnât obey the Hippocratic Oath to the letter, but the good Doctor always managed to lift the spirits with his music.
The Warning Live at the MTV EMAs, Automatic Sun - it was
Thereâs also a photo shoot, I screen dumped this one
True. Fantastic performance. How many pedals does she even have there?
Ooh⌠And nooo⌠Oooh - ho & no- no- no no id nice as well
Another of K Ts great songs: sheâs been strutting her stuff for many years. Great songwriter, great performer, great guitarist.
Brian
Oh my goodness, I havenât looked here in a long timeâŚ
Appropriate for now and a great riff and show
Greetings
Iâm listening to the new album from Linkin Park that released today. First new album Iâve bought in a while but when I saw who their new singer was, it was a definite day one purchase, as she did some great stuff with her previous band (Dead Sara). The new album is pretty short but first impressions are good
I let YouTube choose the music for the past 1 hour while I was doing some chores around the house (finally ) and this one came alongâŚ
Iâm sure itâs no coincidence. The man in the denim jacket is Chris Buck
He is the next on the list that the Blim group will receive a masterclass fromâŚ
I hope Justin doesnât wait too long to release those masterclasses to everyoneâŚ
Greetings
