I pulled out my SM57 recently to help a friend amplify his guitar as it had no pickup. Was impressed with how good the guitar sounded through that setup. Plan to use it more often.

I’m single so I had to buy the presents myself, but that has its advantages. 
Last week I got my Ibanez and amp.
This week some extras like cables, extra strings, picks, a tuner, and some tools.

Very much a NGXD, No Guitar or Gear Xmas Day, just a festive Iron Maiden T that I must, apparently wear tomorrow.
Feels strange not to be acquiring a new axe but the stable is full to be honest I could not justify another but there are few models that might have an itch to be scratched.
But . . . . . 70 at the end of March and in recent weeks have dusted down the 61 key Casio Keyboard I got for the missus decades ago (and she never touched it) but find it limiting, even with my early fumbling. So come that mile marker some 88 keys might fill a void.
I am sure I can align that with Easter though aint a clue where that will crop up this year.
