What got you into your guitar journey?

Kind of curious to know what got people to start their journey into guitar learning and playing. Mine wasn’t watching Mark Knopfler, Jimi Hendrix or “insert any other famous guitar player here” thing, although I do enjoy a bit of Dire Straits. But that never get me past the I really want to buy a guitar stage.
