What's this thing inside my Taylor GS Mini?

Anyone have any idea what this is? Looks to be plastic and stuck on with double-sided tape.

A tracking device used during production? Do you have any enemies?
I’d try to remove it and see what it is.

Hello Chris,

this looks interesting so I was googling about that…

It looks like its prefabricated adhessive piece for cable management when you want to add pickups.

How have I never heard this before…?
First time I heard of Big Bill Broonzy was John Renborn saying he wanted to play like him–that should have been my cue to check him out.
Thank you for posting the link.

I believe it would be a brace or reinforcement of some kind for a joint, or whatever is on the outer side.

Cheers, Shane

It’s definitely not bracing Shane. It’s plastic and the thin end is floating. There’s nothing on the outside. I think Michal is right- it’s probably for securing a pickup wire when fitted.

Just a cable holder for electronics
