On the Justin Guitar App, this song is shown with all open chords instead of power chords.
It makes it hard to use as a practice tool having it different.

I’ve been trying to learn this song, and so far it’s all going very well except for the solo.

How do I reproduce the slide down at the end of the solo? I mean slide from 2.5 beats of C to A power chord in bars 4-5:

(I transcribed this myself; let me know if you spot any mistakes.)

In Justin’s rendition, he played the C, let it ring for 2.5 beats, and then slide down, all at the same volume. How is he getting the note to ring for so long? On my guitar, the C note dies down to almost nothing before I can even attempt the slide.

I had a look at the video. Curiously, sometimes he slides down as you have tabbed, but other times he slides down from an E note played on the 6th string, 12th fret.

In any case, to answer your question: it sounds to me like he’s playing with lots of gain, which of course increases the sustain quite a lot. All the notes he plays ring out a long time.

Thanks, I’ll try that out! So far I’ve just used a distortion pedal before a clean tone on the amp (all virtual; it’s a distortion plugin followed by an amp modeler).
