Which software do you use so it has an acceptable format for posting?

I’m having to post You Tube links in avoyp’s I put on JG instead of being able to directly post the videos I make as I can’t seem to format one in an acceptable way. I’ve tried many varying free software programs I found online, and they’ve either not enabled me to put my video in one of the acceptable formats for JG postings, or they don’t work when I go to review them. What video software programs do people use, either free or paid, that will create or convert a video in the acceptable formats for posting on JG? I currently use Debut Video Capture. It works great, has many features, but all of the formats are MP4.

I just take videos with my phone. I am ultra low-fidelity. I am sure you will get some great answers back with all the cool fancy equipment. :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

Hi Jim,

Are you talking about your last christmas video ?

I think it works, but you need to add an extra line break between your text and the link. For instance, this does not work as it’s on the same line https://youtu.be/-hOx0wrxRp0

But this does:

You cannot post videos directly to this forum, you must post them somewhere else (like youtube) and simply supply the link here. That is my understanding, at least.

@jjw is correct, Jim. You cannot drag & drop any video file format directly into a post here. Such files must either be loaded to YouTube (or similar) or uploaded to a File-share, such as Dropbox, Google Drive etc and a link with view permissions shared.

But all moot as you are already sharing via YouTube.

Thanks David, looking forward to open mic next Saturday.
