Theres nothing i like more than grabbing my acoustic, driving my camper to my favourite spot and watching the sun go down while playing the tunes that i know all the way through. I usually start with Wish You Were Here and Wonderwall, Hey Jude usually makes an appearance.
Its sometimes nice being alone with no distractions, get the kettle on, have a cuppa and a good strumming sesh.
We’ve done a LOT of that over the years. Living in the SE Qld / Northern NSW area of Australia we are fortunate to have good camping weather all year round. One of our fav campsites is remote enough that there’s no phone signal or broadband and camping there and playing music on my acoustic guitar is just superb.
Before I retired I worked from home for many years so come the weekend, I wanted to get away from the place, so we often went camping every other weekend.
Cool @JohnMuttley
That sounds like a lot of fun. I’d guess that could even be very inspiring to play in a remote location like your describing.
I dig playing on my back stoop which I really do enjoy and do as often as I can, weather permitting. Playing where my wife has a lot of flowers planted generally gets my mind set right for playing.
I like playing out side too usually under a parasol in the back garden with a pint of cider sat in my deck chair just noodling.
Hi John,
Well, I also like to play in the open air with the guitar in my hand and 4 wheels underneath me that take me to unknown roads.
Unfortunately, I am not financially wealthy enough to do this with a camper that meets my wishes, but I do dream big
Greetings and wishing you many many nice moments
Well not quite, but I do it sitting on the deck of our Static Caravan - sometimes to entertain the neighbours! (Sic)
Yip, I do a lot of hiking in the Highlands. Always wild camp in the camper so that I can get the guitar out and have a wee sing song to myself knowing I’m only annoying the dog and surrounding wildlife. Bliss.
Cracker! My last dog was an English Bulldog. Now have a springer spaniel, couldn’t have picked a more different breed of dog
