Justin, thanks for all you do. I’m a year in and my first song was from your Free Falling tutorial. Thanks for telling us about the Wildflowers documentary. I’m not in grade 3 yet but I think with some work I could maybe pull this off. Thank you for the gift of letting me play with my kids for the first time this holiday. It was magical. I was having some difficulty getting the G and D string hammer ons to ring out because they were getting muted, particularly the D. Rotating my hand around to try stretch further had limited success because that also also seemed flatten the angel of my fingers in relation to the fretboard. For some reason I eventually tried the opposite and held the neck like you would an F thumb-over. That gave me more arch (knuckles went up and finger attack became more vertical) and I can now make the notes. I hope this helps someone.
