is this competition only applicable on people living on states and europe?
No, I’m pretty sure its for everybody no matter where they live.
I uploaded my video (.mov format) in Instagram which it is suppose to support, high res and 2 minutes long, and I’m getting very bad audio, echo, static and distortion. Thinking it might be the file size, I reduced the play time down to 30 seconds and reduced the res to 780p, with the file size being 52MB, uploaded it, and still the same results, bad audio as before. So I decided to forget about it, and not enter this contest. Doesn’t seem Instagram is the proper platform for this contest.
Similarly, I had to upload the video with Instagram.com on my computer as the app on my phone kept giving me errors. The workaround might be useful for some users.
It was when I used my laptop to upload to Instagram that I got the audio issues. And you say the phone Instagram app gives issues too. So it’s not good all around.
Instagram can take MOV-files, but only under certain conditions (right bitrate etc). Converting your MOV to MP4 should do the trick, according to all info on the internet.
