No, I would say the tab and the video are mostly in agreement.
My take is that this song is a very poor choice for learning from tab. The tab shows way too much detail, hiding what is in concept quite simple…It’s just a lovely chord progression built around the “stuck 3 4” grips.
Of course, the devil is in the details…but tabbing it out focuses on the wrong details.
FYI - This video shows DG playing Wish You Were Here - Intro chords from around 0:45 - good place to get a feel for the rhythm. Intro solo from around 3:18 with a close up of his fingers. He’s sliding the 4 up vs bending as Justin suggests if you find the bend tricky. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t always play it this way though.
I think yes, in Level1 it is still correct, Level2 is wrong (unless of course it belongs to increased difficulty, but I doubt it). While transitions from Em7 to G tabs, I think G String, then D String is good, transitions from Em7 to A7Sus4 tabs should start on the D String, then A String. Unfortunatley tabs are not enumerated, so it’s tough to describe. Was very confusing to me, really needs to be corrected or explained.
anybody dabbling in this as you get to grade 2 or 3, go for it! ive found this song is one of my faves to play as there is enough going on i dont bore myself with just strumming, and it sounds recognisable. it would be great to have a follow up tutorial of the later solo. ive muddled through the first half of it, it seems equally attainable.
