Wish You Were Here - Pick Strumming (Fingerstyle player)

Hello there,

I am pretty sure there will be lot of posts these days with this tune, but I wanted to point out a little victory for myself.

I am fingerstyle player and I pick a pick really rarely… but for this challenge I tried and somehow it is much easier for me to strum even when I was not doing that.
I am pretty proud about the part in the middle, where is only strumming, because my hand really moves free, leaves some strums and to me… it sounds just good, I dont even think about that.

I dont disclaim there arent tempo mistakes, notes… or that end, where I messed up, but I am really happy with this result.
This is just again a prove for me, that everything on guitar is connected and even when it does not look like… everything has impact on any other technics or inner feelings.

Take your victories however small when you can Michal. Very promising, you’ll soon overcome the errors I’m sure once you get used to the different technique. Your other videos show how proficient you are.

Nice job Mike :clap:t2: it’s always good moving out of the comfort zone. Sounds great.

Well done, Michal, pick work good and had a relaxed vibe on the strumming, glad you simply smiled at the slight stumble right at the end.

I wonder as that moment approached what may have been going through your mind? Sometimes I think my inner voice talks me into a mistake at the end of a decent performance, especially when the camera is rolling.

You should be proud. This song is no small task! Kudos to you for even taking time to learn it, let alone posting it. I enjoyed it bc I know how hard you worked to get it where it is and you’ll keep working on it and I think one day it just all comes together the way you want it to🙂

Thank you all for taking a minute and standing by. I really like sharing my little wins with others. Love to see others playing too! This challenge made me see lot of student performances here and even I am ordinary guy… I am really proud of Justin what he achieved here with his team. Such a big change and impact for others lives all around the world.

@DavidP Heh, I was like: Why I did that… why I picked that string… but not in any deep frustration meaning. I just smile and go on. The camera is still a thing for me, but it gets better… still making much more mistakes with camera on than without.
