I also loved the visual of your video - not sure if that was intended, but the yellow wall in the top right corner of the video, the yellow-ish guitar in the bottem left corner pointing at it made it look deliberate and cool.
As for feedback on the playing you have asked for: I think you can play with less attack on all the accentuated strums - they come across really hard and loud and with that you loose some of the melancholy that should be there in the song (for me). I find that for creating accents you don’t always have to hit the strings harder - just a “strum through all strings” already makes the beats stand out.
Hey Erion!
I wish you were here so we could have a jam session together!!!
Nicely played & sung!!! I enjoyed your performance of this classic Floyd song!!!
Good job!!!
@MollyT thanks for this. I completely agree with you. I found that I have less control over the dynamics when I play standing. As usual, it’s a matter of practice.
About the combination of yellow colours on the video, it’s completely accidental. I’m in my kitchen, you can partly see my fridge in the left . The walls are papaya orange and my guitar is just a good old Ibanez V70 that hasn’t had much love since I moved to electric 2 years ago. Yellow is my favourite colour though.
@Ontime I’ll answer your question on YouTube here. I just used the front camera of my phone and the phone mic. I need to get myself a proper condenser mic.
I might record the opening solo on top of this at some point.
