can you use this riff on a song that we made in the past lessons where we use chords in a major key?

I’m struggling with this. Justin talks about using the two bottom strings in Am Pentatonic so A, C,D & E and “maybe not the little finger” so that’s just A, D, & E. Is that really all he’s using for the first few examples?

Hey @bill2009 , if you’re refering to around 2:25 in the video (best to include the specific time stamp when you refer to the video, so it’s easy to find), then he’s playing on the bottom 3 strings (not 2). So, even leaving out the C note, you have 5 notes to work with: A, D, E, G and the octave A. Those are the notes he’s using in the following examples.
