Itās okay, in my working life a certain New Yearās Eve preparation started in Januaryā¦just start quietly today, learn 1 half or full bar every day or every weekā¦I have one of those too to start now for next year (I said that last year too)
And to my horror I discovered yesterday that i forgot āWe wish you a merry christmas (easy styly)ā which I was supposed to finish last year, let alone the difficult fingerstyle variant of that version.

Ooo, donāt even start about it, there are currently 16 tabs open on my screen and 4 are Blim relatedā¦although I see those things a little differently because āBoom Bass with licksā may also be includedā¦ I wonāt mention the rest 
You havenāt learned a nice song in 2 months (most of us)ā¦Start now or youāll miss the best of Christmas again this year

Rogier. I donāt think I have enough Christmases left to get that jazzy version down! The problem with Christmas songs is you can only play them for a few weeks every year. Not a good practise/performance balance.
Iāll stick to the basic strum-a-dum version with some more basic chords.

I only play Justinās most āsimpleā suggestions from that version,
And I understand that for the short period that it is playable, the effort is not really worth itā¦ let alone that my wife really doesnāt want to hear it anymore after 3 or 4 times and practicing is now allowed even if she is not there 
But but but ā¦ she makes an exception for the Elvis version (it really doesnāt sound like a Christmas song) and she also liked the intro of this jazz version last year and she does not associate it with Christmas without singingā¦ 
But Iām looking forward to
again in 2 months

O my ā¦ I have experienced a huge improvement ā¦ last year I struggled to play the intro correctly twice in a row ( or even smooth once without cramping vingers or so)ā¦ now it was really easy ā¦

I ordered Justinās Christmas songbook last week but it wonāt be here till the first week of December! In the meantime Iām practicing Jingle Bells and Silent Night from the App. Oddly, JBs is giving me fits, I just canāt keep the chord progression straight!
