There are no frills with this one. Recorded straight to phone without any production.
I was listening to a podcast during the week where the artist suggested writing new music in alternative tuning so that your fingers don’t fall into their usual boring patterns. iTunes to open G and fiddled around with different sounds until I came up with this. Two strings exploded so I relearned the tune in standard.
I was just thinking you might the one
To save me sinking into the face of the sun
If you came to thinking you might get away
I’ll be here waiting till the end of your days
You got your reason fo notr hanging out
Said you change with the season
You don’t know what you’re talking about
I got a feeling this might be it time
And time is for seizing, and this one is mine
You got your reason fo notr hanging out
You said you’ve no pleasing
You don’t know what you’re talking about
Maybe tomorrow, you’ll change your mind
Forget all the reasons for being unkind
I’ll be here waiting I won’t away
You got me honey
Till the end of my days
Hi Dom - I randomly stumbled on your last original (ten rounds), and really liked it. Now I think I’m becoming a bit of a fan. These songs are great! Really like your voice, and the guitar sounds great as well. Keep 'em coming!
Another great song Dom, i’m always a fan of the lovely less is more style of your guitar and if I could get to a point of playing in this way I’d be very happy.
Great work buddy.
Very enjoyable. A lovely song. The guitar is sometimes a little low in the mix. Might it be better without the capo: the highest parts of the melody would be easier perhaps. The melody and lyric are very emotive: sadness, longing, hope. It could be a Willie Nelson song. Encore!
