Same here using Safari, that has only one extension installed, my password keeper.
And though @markr31 reports the toggle switchâs return yesterday, it is still missing for me today.
Maybe it is a cache/cookie issue, and it has to do data stored on your machine changing the behavior of the player???
âOh, theyâre playing a lot, we can get more adverts playing by autoplaying, will remove the buttonâ versus
âOh, theyâve not played as much recently, weâll entice them to stay by not irritating them so much and enable disabling auto-playâ
Methinks itâs to drive ad revenue and drive you to do distraction so youâd rather use YouTube.com where they can scrape even more metrics.
I also use safari. I checked on Firefox (which is installed on my laptop, but that I donât use): same issue. I donât use YouTube very often, so according to your reasoning, I think I should fall in the: âLetâs not annoy themâ category. The weird thing is also that the toggle switch appears for some videos, but not for all (most).
