A short medley of some bits from songs by Yes. Before I get shot, I have to profusely apologise for the vocal on “And You and I”
It was produced by a piece of software that uses artificial something-or-other It does sound a bit awful. I thought I’d buy the database for a female vocalist to sing the Jon Anderson parts, but only noticed after I’d bought it that the one I got was based on a native Japanese pop singer. OK she’s singing English, but the tone isn’t quite right.
Hi,
I really liked this one. Your Yes work is good. I like your 1 man band approach and some of the tones you got on keys were good stuff. Add to that the guitar tones, esp. on solo work in spots had a great tone as well.
One thing you might think about when doing melodies such as this is to change the on screen title to match the present song. That would help listeners know what to comment on by name of song. I can’t recall but that title may be coming from YT itself. If so, just add a title for each song, maybe at the bottom.
Gobsmacked once again, Phil!
I never found my ‘way into’ Yes, and still struggle to appreciate their music, (although I would happily buy their albums just for the sleeve covers).
You keep on the way you’re going and soon you’ll be free from orbit and gravity’s constraints, to go where no one has gone before…
YES!
@mathsjunky I’m not really a keyboard player - mostly one handed
I can understand that. It is a bit of an acquired taste. The first time I heard “Close To The Edge”, I wasn’t really impressed, now for me it’s one of my favourite albums!
