I would like a very in-expensive amp for my guitar. I would need all the bells & whistles; meaning whatever hooks to the guitar & perhaps mic/earphones. I’m not really sure, so I could use some advice. I’m 81 & finger pick mostly folk & country songs. Doubt I’ll be playing anywhere except in my little corner of my world; but, might spread my wings & play at assisted living places! I’m in SLC, UT.

What do you want to achieve, public playing, effects just for you??

Basically for me. The only thing on the guitar is the little metal thing on the top that screw into the hole.

Sorry no idea what you mean. What model Martin is it, can you plug a cable in, does it have a (piezo)pickup.
What do you mean for you, can you not hear it already?
Do you want it louder, do you want to add effects like reverb?
Do you want a headphone amp?

The guitar is a D-28 & yes, you can plug a cable into it. This what the end of it looks like.
I want to hear it better & to add effects.
I have no headphone amp or microphone. I have only the guitar.
It’s accompaniment to my singing.

That Fender Acoustasonic 40 is what I use with my Taylor. I’m quite happy with it.

And you might be happy with the less expensive Fender Acoustasonic 15.

Thank you, I’ll check it out! Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to see one up close & personal at a local guitar store so I’ll no what I’m looking for.

They both have 2 channels , plug a mic into one of them and the guitar into the other

The cheaper one looks like no reverb but does have chorus for some reason. Its also 2 channel and has an XLR for channel 1 as a mic

You are going to need a mic if you want to amplify your voice. regardless of anything else.

And a mic stand if you are expecting to sing and play at the same time.

my wife got that one for her acoustic-electric ukulele and is pretty happy with it. I’ve plugged my Taylor (GS mini) into it and find that it doesn’t really have enough volume to be louder than the guitar without generating feedback through the piezo pickup. it’d probably be fine if I could get farther from the amp and I could crank it all the way. but the room is too small for that. it’s just not a good space to put an acoustic guitar through an amp. my wife got the amp specifically for small open mic events at places where an acoustic uke doesn’t have quite enough punch on its own. FWIW, we had to get a phantom power supply for the mic circuit since the Acoustasonic 15 doesn’t provide phantom power to the mic.
I use a Champion 40 for my Epi Les Paul, and don’t run into the feedback thing (but that amp is a bit big for such a little room - lol). I’m sure the feedback is a piezo pickup thing.

I probably don’t need reverb, just sounds fun to have some little goodies!
