Hi Skip I am new here and I am not sure what is online for classical guitar I am not even sure if Justin does it, but I am sure if you checked it out there will be a few and I am sure someone here may help you nice meeting you cheers Hec

Hi Skip, nice to meet you.

I have had a go at classical via free lessons by Allen at classicalguitarshed - it was enough to whet my appetite for now, and heā€™s got an extensive collection of paid classes for techniques, specific songs etc.

Brandon Acker, Merce Font and Alexandra Whittingham have some interesting YT videos too, I have not looked into any classes they might offer.

There are a ton of options out there. I did the ā€œclassical Guitar Shedā€ with Allen Mathewā€™s for a while. It is really good, as is ā€œClassical Guitar Cornerā€ with Simon Powis. Both are excellent well constructed but not inexpensive programs. The free options on their sites are no where near comparable to what Justin offers for free with non-classical guitar, unfortunately.

For free, ā€œThis is Classical Guitarā€ with Bradford Werner is very well regarded and probably the most comprehensive free option online outside the DelCamp forum and program (which is also excellent but a more rigid, traditional training style). I am not sure if DelCamp is still doing formal courses, but the forum is full of great stuff.
I also like Robert Lunn. Lots of pieces and arrangements available, lots of lessons as well, just not a ā€œprogramā€ per se. I think $20 gets you lifetime everything on his site.

I have not gotten much out of TrueFire, but they do have quite a few courses.

Hope that helps!

Hi Skip, Iā€™m using the Method Books and free on line resources from thisisclassicalguitar.com and I think the outlined path is very well structured; Volume 1 you can download for free from the website ( or buy a hard copy) and there are video lessons for each piece or exercise in the book. Studying Classical Guitar is so rewarding and itā€™s not at all more difficult than the acoustic, just IMHO.

Hi Skip, I agree with @Jamolay and @Silvia80. I started using the Werner method site last year. I started with the free PDF of book one, but ended up ordering books 1 and 2 from Amazon, since book sales seems to be the method for funding the site. I also like @Jamolay Joshuaā€™s other suggestions. The Delcamp forum looks interesting since the Werner method doesnā€™t have an associated forum. Also the Robert Lynn website looks interesting for supplemental lessons.
