Just the pick. What I found the hardest at the beginning was mixing chords and single notes while staying in rhythm with my picking hand.
Next on my list is a fingerstyle arrangement of Angels we have heard on high ! December is just starting out, I might have time to learn it, right ?

The email indicated we could upload a video of us playing a Christmas song on any instrument, so to be different, hereās me playing We Wish You A Merry Christmas, and I do to you all, on the saxophone, another instrument I dabble with. Yes, thatās a run-on sentence, in one breath. It comes from playing the sax. (kidding). I canāt seem to get a handle on posting the actual videos . Hereās the link on You Tube:

I had the same idea as Mathieu, but a different genre. So, this is Jingle Bells punk. I recorded myself singing for the first time. It is so awkward listening to your own voice. I am terrible, but this song is great to try. It will be good before video to compare, if I ever improve.

Loved your version and itās great you dared to sing! Itās definitely not āterribleā and goes well with your version! As youāre new to singing, just keep practicing and next yearās performance should be stellar!
I collected info on practicing singing, but - ahem - itās more every now and then instead of consistent practice yet

@jvlynch Well played Jim, and a great idea to add a sax video ! Your video reminds me a lot of good memories from many years ago when I was playing alto saxophone in a jazz band.

Hereās one of me on a big guitar with frets removed as well as 2 of the strings. The observant ones amongst you will notice a 6 string hung on the wall - I think that qualifies it as a guitar video 
(it may get an outing later in the month).

Iām so inspired by everyoneās performances so far! Iāve been working on Last Christmas so I will try to share if I can get that pesky Dm chord change under my fingers before Christmasā¦
Though, if not maybe I will follow @jvlynch lead and share a saxophone rendition! I havenāt played in twenty years but I still have my sax laying around here somewhere.
