Would be interested in an another AVOYP community topic just like the one we do for Christmas ?
This time the theme would be : SUMMER !
it would run from July to the end of august and anyone would be able to share an AVOYP
the song played must be related to the theme : summer !
a song about the beach , the heat , travelling , whatever makes you think about summer ^^
You can share any type of songs , traditonal songs from your countries , pop , rock , metal , non christian songs , etc ,
electric , an acoustic , a uke , pots and pans … anything is welcome !
Deborah - let me begin by saying it’s a brilliant idea, and I’ll gladly participate. Just one question: by AVOYP do you mean our entries should be covers, or do originals count as well?
Best
Tomasz
If I had an electric guitar, I already know which Alice Cooper song I would play (something about a school closed in summer ). But even with my acoustic guitar, I could contribute something at a beginner level. Thanks, Deborah, that’s a great idea. All the best to you.
then you have to play something sunny for BLIM and for summer AVOYP
I will talk about it with my teacher in 2 weeks
but I may have a very good excuse if I cant participate
next month , I will undergo 2 surgeries , one for each legs
and I really dont know how it will impact my practice afterward
the doc told me to not stand up too much ( and I stand up for playing ) for at least 3 weeks
10 days minimum he said but thats because he saw how disappointed I was
Maybe Ill be able to play like I always do , I just dont know
I ll ask my teacher which easy song we can find ^^
something that dont require months of practice at least
Im glad to know you ll both participate !

this one is a good candidate for a “school" theme too
so its hard to do another winter related theme topic since we do celebrate Christmas at the same period ( I mean we probably have the same songs like winter wonderland for example )
as a Southerner yourself what would be the themes you d have in mind for a winter in the south ?
the cold ? the rain ?
