Hi Silvia, thanks for the nice comment! I’m keeping on with my strumming excercises, currently trying to get the hit on barre chords sounding clear and melodic. That’s even a step up again and harder then on open chords. I’ve found a Celentano tune for this… Adriano…, here I come !
Lake Garda, as always, was wonderful. For the South Bavarians, this place is a bit like second home (poor Italian residents , but I’m coming from a touristically overcrowded area myself, so I have an excuse .)
Rogier’s log is quite a bit of a virtual living room these days .
Greetings to you, Silvia , see you around the forum or at Rogier’s.
Yes, I find it amazing! So little details! Or your finger, while moving around strumming, then it’s meant to hit a certain string without looking… so unthinkable at first try, then, with lots of practice, things slowly improve…
I can’t help looking there, because there are always nice people around and nice photos!
Now I’m here, looking for Helen, but there’s always you, Andrea!
Now you have to stop, laughing twice so hard that it hurts is a lot in such a short time, but I have been to a number of apartments there arround the lake ,and Oooo yes
Wherever you are, Domi, you are always welcome! I can assure you, Andrea is to a 100% identical with my alter ego Helen.
Maybe I finally should change my username ?
I have just read through your learning log for the first time, admittedly it is the first learning log I have read on the whole site (I am not that great at being a member of a large group) but it was a great read, full of heartfelt thoughts and I can say many of the things you have talked about could have been written by me. I might not be able to provide any input that is meaningful, but I’m really inspired by your resilience and dedication in all the ways, so I look forward to reading more about your progress and life experiences.
Hi Stacy! Thanks for taking the time to read through my log! Thank you also for the kind words, very appreciated. I’m very happy when my writing inspires others. We are all on a journey that never ends… .
Got a bit distracted from practice last night.
It’s been the yearly day of our traditional “Johanni” fires, when folks go all the way up to the mountains and enlighten fires in the tradition of solstice at the peaks and ridges
Thank you for remembering me, Andrea… had seen those fires in the mountains in my childhood!
Ah yes… Johann … Jean
I remember people in Quebec drawing a “fleur de lys” (= lily ?) on their cheeks that day de la fête de la Saint Jean which is their “fête nationale” .
PS. Now, I see I meant “reminding” when I wrote “remembering” - well, in german, it’s the same word for both, sometimes these kind of mistakes happen to me.
