Thanks
A ‘slide from nowhere’ seems quite liberating
Going back to the lesson today feeling more confident.
Welcome to the forum Anne
On the guitar if there is a starting note you would play that note then slide to the next note. In the case you are slide up to the starting note.

Totally having fun with this one. The entire Solo Blues course is a bit of a stretch for me at my skill level (I bought it, anyway, because this is what I want to play), but these intro lessons are in the attainable range. Just breaking it down into individual short sections, then putting those sections together.
I’ve been playing it on my acoustic, but I might have to play with it on my electric sometimes, too. That sounds really good.
I have problems to save my recordings. I always get this message “Connectivity problems. We were unable to communicate with the server. Make sure your internet connection is working.” It makes no difference if I try to save the recording of my attempts with the IPad, Phone or with the PC. Do you know how to fix this bug?
This is great! First lesson, straight in to playing something that makes you mix in base rhythm with blues licks. I started learning guitar 2 years ago, tried a few sites. This is blowing me away, so well structured and thought out. It has embedded the 12 bar blues pattern in my head without effort after a couple of weeks, given me licks that I can use in other songs to make them my own and be a bit creative. improve my timing, speed and confidence immensely. Great job Justin, sign of a good teacher, this is well thought out and great value. Can’t wait to start the next lesson. But first … I’m going to reward myself by playing this all the way through a few times at speed. It sounds great! Took me 2 weeks of practice but I’ve got it … feels great!

Welcome to the community Aasim! Welcome!
These are such cool songs. So far these are the type of songs that no matter what type of crowd you are with at a party, you can play one of these song and every one sort of digs it. Plus people will get a feeling you know what your doing. I really like them. And welcome to Justins community.
I’m enjoying this Boom Bass with Licks heaps. I’ve been pretty slow at nailing it but this has taught me to count while playing and I just love practicing and playing this. John Lee Hooker is one of my all time favs and to be playing in his style is wonderful feeling. As of today I can just about play through at 50% speed with the version GuitarPro8. There are a few spots to work further on. When I get those nailed at 50%, I will increase the bpm. When its 100%, I’ll start putting it through MatchMySound tool and get the feedback. Then hopefully I will get to the level of recording and sharing it in the community performances or somewhere in here.
Hi! What about right hand? The use of fingers should be the same Justin is using? Or there is some degree of freedom about that?.
There is some discussion of this already in this thread. You could start here:
So right off the bat I see a great way to practice timing, licks, positions 1-3 of the minor pentatonic and, for me, a clear value for having incorporated the Finger Gym into a practice routine. I know that there are likely many lessons here that likely provide that as well, but I guess this one just resonates with me.
I’m one of those people that just simply can’t figure out how not to sound scaly, so I appreciate that this is a fun way to actually practice.
Who knows…there may just be some sort of musician in me despite my best efforts not to let him out:)
Another good lesson. A good increase in skills acquired, really keeps me motivated. Looking forward to the next lesson. Great quality stuff. When I’ve finished this I’ll check out the Music theory course just because the lesson structure and accompanying resources are so good. Really nice job.
That was great mate!
Just very smoothly done. Sounded great
