I am a selective quoter, (but I mean it :wink:)
In my book, a great singer is someone who 1) sings and 2) sings in their own voice in an authentic way. You tick the boxes.
Springsteen can squeeze a lotta lyrics into a small bar but you dealt with them smoothly.
