Really nice cover!..love the reverb!
Hey Jay! Beautiful rendition. Iāve always loved that song. A good lesson in the story.
ā¦and not having to even look at your fretboard! Great performance.
Aw, thanks for the shout-out, Jay; although you took your time⦠That was two years ago
All good things take time and this really does sound like a song you could have written yourself.
Vibes!
(btw. how are you getting on with your Trio+?)
Hey Brian. I havenāt spent much time with the Trio+ yet. I still think it may help me in the future to incorporate more variety into my song writing, but for now, Iām focused on getting more confidence and playing with fewer mistakes in order to perform in public.
Great Job!!! Can I suggest āTaxi Driverā as well. I know all the words to that one!
āIt was an early morning bar room
And the place just opened upā¦ā
Really solid playing, and great vocal on top
Hope you are playing this out in public tooš
Excellent !!!
Good idea, Murray. I love that song as well.
Thank you for posting your videos. Your guitar playing and singing is really good. Good recording too.
Sounds great, Jay (what I heard of it). Had to cut off early - It gets me too emotional. Iām the dad in that song. Too bad there are no do-overs in life. Thankfully, my boy is grown with his own first child, and heās not just like me. Heāll be a better dad, Iām sure.
Hey, never too late to start, Kevin.
Excellent!!!
Itās all good now, but I had a demanding job when he was growing up. Lots of nights and weekends. But that Harry Chapin song does get to me every time, as well as Peter Gabrielās āFather, Sonā. Then again, maybe Iām just getting extra sappy in my old age. It doesnāt take much to get the waterworks going, even certain hymns in church.
