Hey Jay! Beautiful rendition. I’ve always loved that song. A good lesson in the story.

…and not having to even look at your fretboard! Great performance.

Aw, thanks for the shout-out, Jay; although you took your time… That was two years ago
All good things take time and this really does sound like a song you could have written yourself.
Vibes! :sunglasses:
(btw. how are you getting on with your Trio+?)

Hey Brian. I haven’t spent much time with the Trio+ yet. I still think it may help me in the future to incorporate more variety into my song writing, but for now, I’m focused on getting more confidence and playing with fewer mistakes in order to perform in public.

Great Job!!! Can I suggest ā€œTaxi Driverā€ as well. I know all the words to that one!

Good idea, Murray. I love that song as well.

Thank you for posting your videos. Your guitar playing and singing is really good. Good recording too.

Sounds great, Jay (what I heard of it). Had to cut off early - It gets me too emotional. I’m the dad in that song. Too bad there are no do-overs in life. Thankfully, my boy is grown with his own first child, and he’s not just like me. He’ll be a better dad, I’m sure.

It’s all good now, but I had a demanding job when he was growing up. Lots of nights and weekends. But that Harry Chapin song does get to me every time, as well as Peter Gabriel’s ā€˜Father, Son’. Then again, maybe I’m just getting extra sappy in my old age. It doesn’t take much to get the waterworks going, even certain hymns in church.
