Chord Changes

Hi All, Quickie, When practicing changes do you practice 5-6 parings in one session or 2-3 or just 1?

Hey Bruce. When I was doing my chord changes, I did every one min chord change that I had not achieved my goal of 60 per min. Each one gets a min then I move on to the next one. You will have them all done in no time. Thats not to say I didnt practice some song that also have some chord changes as well.

That’s what i started out at but didn’t think it was enough time, so upped it to 2 min then 5. 5 min to long fingers don’t know what to do after awhile

I combine grade one and two togeather. For a while I had them all going at the same time for the most part except the D A and E. but then I just had those going with the new ones so. They we all accounted for. Lol

Its an individual set up so what ever keeps you motivated is ok. And as long as you are progressing and practicing regularly and not skipping lessons i think its all good.

When I was starting not too long ago, I liked to keep my maditory daily practice routines around an 1:20 minutes to cover all the basics lessons and then I can just do whatever after. I have always used Justin’s practice assistant.
I really like it. After my dailys are done I can redo or extend, move onto other things and expand old items. Lots of variations.

Keep it up its all malleable once you cover your basics.
