Thanks to everybody who participated and shared opinions.
Personally I’d never used the ‘hamburger’ menu, always just scanned Latest and Notifications (viewed by clicking my profile picture).
The Discobot tutorial did help me when I was brand new. I can recall how I ‘discovered’ it.
For the rest, like some other folk, I discovered features of the plan through exploration.
@LievenDV is there a way to make the ‘New’ option on the ‘hamburger’ menu an option on the Landing page, ideally selectable as the default?

Since I don’t have admin rights on our testing env yet, I go for live

And I can make any of the 5 options my default on my Preferences page under Interface …

My home page (on an iPhone) is this
If I click on Categories I get a drop down list
If I click on the Hamburger I get this which is basically the same as before but in a different format.
So my preferred default is Categories as I can go wherever I want from there.
