Gordon, nice to hear from you. Thanks for the comments. The pickin parts were really where the fun was. I was sure if that solo would fly or not, but it turned out ok.
Sounds great Dave ! Happy the moment it started Bravo Dave and thanks for sharing
Lisa, thank you. Glad you got a big smile and happier. Thanks for the comment on the guitar tone. I added a pinch of a chorus plug on it and wasn’t quite sure. In the end I thought it better fit the song than just the clean guitar.
I’ll share some more happiness. Covid has hit us again here at the homestead (part of the reason for the delayed responses) but we’re still happy - well trying to smile anyhow.
Exlixir, Thanks for taking it for a spin, and I’m glad you thought it was fun. I appreciate the comments.
Sorry to hear that, but good you’re still happy, though. Hope you will be fine, this nasty little virus can be quite a pain.
Hi, Shane. Thanks for the feedback. Glad you like the arrangement and play. I’m working on trying to become one with instrument but, as you know, it’s a long journey. Glad too that it made you smile.
Thanks, James. I appreciate your feedback. If there’s anything at all you can learn from that,
I’ll consider I’ve paid something forward. I’ve certainly picked up, and still am, a ton from watching/listening to others here. I think that’s one of the benefits of the community.
Hi, John. Thanks for your feedback. Glad too that you caught the vibe of the original in there but with my twist to it. Glad you liked it.
@brianlarsen Well, Mr. Larsen, I’m going to have to end this session with you. Yeah, this forum gets to be a slippery slope at times. I know what you mean.
I can point to some not so meticulous fretwork, and I hope that reverberation goes away, if it hasn’t already. Seriously, I appreciate your comments.
Hmmm, I thought what I posted was a distorted image!! Better take another look.
“Seeing happiness, laughter, joy etc. can make us feel good- and perhaps ‘happy’.
Telling folk to be happy tends to have the opposite effect”
Please send me a bill for that one. I feel like I’m getting advice from my psychiatrist.
But, I must say, after thinking about this song, “worry” really doesn’t get you anyplace; it doesn’t fix anything and it really can bring one down, and it surely won’t add any time to life here on earth.
You’re welcome. No charge this time.
Thanks for the listen and feedback, Brian. Always a pleasure to hear from you.
Ok Dave…I’ll be happy! Well …your graceful singing made me happy already actually It seemed to me anything but easy to play and sing this at the same time but you made it look so effortless and smooth! But what matters the most is that from what we can see in the video it made you happy to learn and play this. A real treat, thanks for sharing it!
Hi, Mari. Thanks for the comments, and I’m glad it brought a big smile.
Boris, Thanks for stopping by and taking a listen and commenting; it’s appreciated.
Hi, David. I appreciate the comments. I don’t know if you caught it above, but there was a pinch of chorus on the PRS. Glad to see you’re getting back in, and hope you are well.
Jim, thanks for the listen and comments. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
LBro, airy and surf lapping at the beach is where I’d like to be. Thanks for stopping by and the feedback.
Jeremy, Thanks for the spin, and glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I was having fun!
Hi, Darrell. Simple is good sometimes. Glad you thought it was interesting, and happy that you think my interpretation was an easy listen. In some ways, doing an interpretation is easier than trying to mimic an original.
Good to hear from you, Mike. I appreciate the comments. Hope to hear some from you soon.
Luc, thank you for taking a listen and for the comments. Happy is good!
Hi Silvia. Just be happy. Thanks for those comments. You know, it’s just practice, memorizing, muscle memory, relaxing . That being said, I was happy to be able to record it in such a relaxed fashion. It doesn’t always go that way.
What really makes me happy is reading about everyone smiling and being happy! I guess it’s just that type of song.
