Thanks deiussum
Thanks jgottwals. Yeah I’m working on the internal rhythm too, completely lose it when I start singing though haha
Thanks Willsie
Thanks domi7
Thanks CATMAN62. No other Tracy Chapman songs at the moment unfortunately
Thanks CD02
Thanks DavidP. Oof, that’s such an obvious thing too, I don’t know why I didn’t think of it.
Super job. On everything, the chords, timing and singing. Don’t concern yourself with the metronome in the recording at this point. It clearly helped you peg your timing which is crucial to a good sound.
You could use headphones so that only you hear the metronome unless it negatively effects the some other aspect of your playing.
Thanks MiJoy. Yeah I’ve started using an earphone on one ear when I’m recording my practice sessions now.
Well done. Smooth changes all through. I was working on this and then got away from it. I need to get back on it. A great tune.
Well done, fantastic work.
That’s fantastic Rommel. Excellent playing and singing at the same time (which I really struggle with).
The transitions from chorus strumming back into verse picking were very smooth.
I liked your mini celebration when you completed it - you deserved it!
Thanks dmisen. Yeah, this is such a great song to play.
Thanks Nikki40
Thanks MyDogsGotNoNose. Yeah, that transition being clean was pure luck during that practice session. Haven’t really made a clean runthrough again of this song since I recorded this lol, but I feel like I’m getting closer to doing it consistently
Great rendtiion, both playing and singing! Fits your timbre as well.
Not an easy song, a challenge to combine vocal phrasing and keeping a solid guitar pattern going
Well played Rommel , @rvil , a very good performance
You did particularly well with your transitions between picking verses and strumming the chorus.
Super job …
That was a very challenging first song to play and sing. You must really love that song! Good job!
