Hi all, been following Justin for a long long time, but new to the community here! Always been a bedroom guitarist. First time I’ve been brave enough to put myself out there in any way shape or form, any feedback is greatly appreciated.

That song is fantastic. Nice finger picking and singing sounds really good too. The vocals were great as well. Thanks so much for sharing with us. I am glad you joined the community and decided to over come the fear of posting. Tons of supper supportive people here, friendly and fun. Its great you posted, it is a very nice submission.

Once I heard the Steve Fisher version (which I won’t link in here), all bets were off. No way I could bring “anything” else to the song.

Can’t offer any specific feedback on your playing, but did notice the recording sounded mono in my left ear. Not sure how you made it, assume a phone, so maybe check the settings there to try achieve stereo. That said, the quality of the audio was excellent.

I can’t imagine why you would not feel brave enough, that was really good. i don’t know the song but great singing and really nice fingerstyle, not easy to maintain that and sing along at the same time so hats of mate, brilliant.

Also, that is interesting that you only hear it as mono. I record it via an AKG condenser mic.

@abhiralla welcome to the community! Good on you for having the courage to put yourself out there. You’re more than ready to do so and I’m sure many people, myself included, would like to hear more. I’m trying to learn to sing while playing a fingerstyle song right now myself and it is not easy to say the least.
It will get easier the more you share and put yourself out there. That said, hitting the record button never fails to make me play 30% worse right off the bat for no reason other than to make it harder on myself.
